“We believe that construction is an art form, much like a symphony. Each project is a composition where every element—design, materials, craftsmanship, and collaboration—works in harmony to create a masterpiece. Our process is seamless, ensuring that every aspect flows effortlessly, leaving you with a home or space that exceeds your expectations.”

Our Company
A Legacy Captured:
Father, Son, and Family Building Dreams Together
Elite Construction of Jax, Inc. was founded in 1993 by David Furukawa, who turned his lifelong passion for building into a respected, full-service construction company. David graduated from Liberty University and earned his M.B.A. summa cum laude. He began in entry-level construction roles and worked his way up to owning his own company, always guided by a simple philosophy: do it right, do it with integrity, and never compromise on quality.
In 2012, his wife, Cathy Furukawa, joined the company as Lead Interior Designer. With her eye for detail and love of timeless, functional design, she has helped elevate countless projects. Together, David and Cathy built a reputation for craftsmanship, trust, and excellence that has stood the test of time.
Today, their children carry on that legacy. While Cathy is still the in-house Design Expert and Majority Owner, their son, Jeremy, runs the day to day operations as the other Majority Owner and Project Manager. He utilizes his decades of experience in the field and knowledge passed down from his father to maintain the quality and standards Elite Construction is known for. Their daughter, Victoria, manages the office, and strives to create long lasting client relationships as the Operations & Client Services Manager. She maintains the dedication to excellent service that David & Cathy built their business on.
At Elite Construction, we don’t just feel like a family. We are one, and that spirit extends into every home we build. For more than 30 years, we have been proud to serve families throughout Jacksonville and St. Augustine, helping them create spaces that last for generations.
